General Manager Raj Mutti announced today that this week’s Friday Night Live racing card at Hastings Racecourse has been cancelled due to a shortage of available horses.
“Over the last two weeks, our barn area had been affected by a flu-like virus,” Mutti said. “In the best interest and well-being of our horse population, management has elected to cancel Friday’s card.”
Entries were taken for Saturday and Sunday race cards earlier in the day, and sufficient numbers of horses were entered to fill the races on both days.
