August 19, 2010
Clair Annette will attempt to win her third straight stakes race against eight rivals on Sunday in the $75,000 Emerald Distaff—the championship event for fillies and mares.
Clair Annette—3-for-3 in routes—should be the one to beat in the 1-1/8-mile event. The 7-year-old mare comes off victories in King County and Boeing Handicaps, making her the early favorite for Top Older Filly or Mare of 2010 at Emerald Downs.
