Hey there, horseracing lover! It is our pleasure to have you here with us. We created this blog to serve the interests of all who are passionate about British horseracing. That is why we are delighted there are quite a few of you out there. So, let us not waste any time and introduce ourselves to those of you who don’t know us yet.
The Team
We are Kate and Nathan, a true horseracing family. Kate grew up on a farm in rural England, where she spent her childhood surrounded by horses and hounds. As she grew older, Kate’s dream was to become a jockey. Her father would follow the races religiously. Kate recalls some of her best days being spent in a warm, cosy domestic environment, where families and friends with their children would gather to watch horseracing. That is how she became fascinated with the sport.
To follow her dream, Kate moved out of the farm and started training with some of the best jockeys of her day. Her father would support her and strongly believed in her success. He was right. Kate trained day and night and soon earned her place as one of the leading jockeys at Great Britain’s most celebrated racetracks. She participated in and won many of the most prestigious events.
At the peak of her career as a jockey, Kate met Nathan – a sports journalist specialising in horseracing reporting. A mutual friend introduced them at the Royal Ascot, and the two shortly became close.
Kate ended her sports career a couple of years later and married Nathan, who continued to work as a horseracing journalist.
That is how we became a family. Today, we live near London with our two young kids and continue to explore our passion for horseracing.
The Blog
We have been wanting to start our own horseracing outlet for a very long time. However, our busy professional lives, together with raising our young kids, prevented us from doing so sooner. Nonetheless, we kept persisting in our goal to release an outlet, where you can find everything about horseracing in the UK. So, little by little, we created a plan and founded this blog.
Our persistence has rewarded us with a fair share of devoted readers, who check out our page every day to learn the latest news and all the interesting details about the UK’s best horse tracks, horseracing events, jockeys, horses, and more.
